At Telferscot, we are always ready to learn more about our community and who is in our community. We meet up as a group and sometimes take charge of assemblies. We are able to talk about our differences and similarities and how we can show case that around the school.

Our social justice champions are made up of 2 children per class in year group 4,5 and 6. We have very detailed conversations on how we can celebrate diversity in every aspect of school life.

We are now in talks to collaborate with the Be Well Hub and Citizens UK to help with community concerns and how we can help as the Telferscot Social Justice Champions. We as a group have been able to put on Express Yourself Day for staff and pupils which allows everyone to celebrate who they are. They can celebrate their race, religion, culture, gender etc. We also refer to calendars to ensure we are celebrating different cultural events all year around.
